Mr. Sameh Kamal is a qualified lawyer with approximately 25 years of experience in business and financial laws across Egypt and the Gulf.
He graduated from Cairo University (English Section) in 1999 and earned an LL.M. in Financial Laws from Boston University School of Law in 2003.
Throughout his career, he has held senior legal positions in top investment companies and law firms in Egypt and has also worked with Qatar’s Sovereign Fund, the former investment vehicle managing the state’s reserves before being replaced by Qatar Holding.
Currently, he holds a senior position at a leading law firm, specializing in high-profile transactions involving asset and shares acquisitions, including hotels, industrial plants, real estate, and investment projects.
His expertise extends to energy projects, electricity, PPP, BOT, BOO, FIDIC, and EPC contracts, corporate restructuring, capital raising whether through cash and debt swaps, and capital markets.
He has successfully contributed to the settlement of major disputes related to government land allocation, utilities-related disputes as well as contracting agreements.
He has also played a key role in handling the necessary procedures for listing an Egyptian holding company on the Egyptian Exchange.
